抄録
Modified strong intra smoothing filter for a non-square block is proposed. Subjective evaluation results show no video quality improvement with/without SIS filter by JEM where pseudo contour artifacts are confirmed by HEVC. It indicates that the linear filtering is insufficient to reduce the artifacts.
