<p>The purpose of this study is to clarify the actual conditions of community interaction in a high-rise apartment cluster district and the role of community SNS in community interaction through a survey of actual living conditions and the use of community SNS in the high-rise apartment cluster district. The study also examines the challenges and potential uses of local SNS to promote regional exchange in high-rise apartment clusters. Specifically, we took up PIAZZA, a local SNS used in the high-rise apartment cluster area in Tokyo, and conducted a web-based questionnaire survey of its users. The results showed that 1) PIAZZA users go out frequently regardless of their attributes, but the degree of community interaction differs from person to person, and 2) PIAZZA in the area has a strong character as a place for mothers raising children to exchange information online, and its effect on actual interaction among residents is limited.</p>
