Abstract

Due to the consumption of fossil fuels and the human impact on land biota the partial pressure of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is rapidly increasing (e.g., Keeling et al., 1995). The ocean has been recognized as an important sink for a significant portion of the missing anthropogenic carbon dioxide. Therefore, the partial pressure of the carbon dioxide in seawater (pCO_2) has been measured extensively (e.g., Inoue and Sugimura, 1992). In this study, we intended to find the character of carbon dioxide exchange between seawater in a bay and the atmosphere and the method for estimating carbon dioxide flux at sea-surface. The flux was estimated by two method, gas-liquid exchange method and bulk method.
