Description
The motions of single and double-articulated structures comprised with a submerged sphere and the mooring rope are numerically studied. Only the slight differences are found in the pitch motion between single and double-articulated models. Calculations are also carried out for the case of a column of small buoyancy in place of the mooring rope. The ratio of the weight to the buoyancy is changed for studying the effect of that ratio on the wave-induced motions.
