<p>Stiffness proportional or Rayleigh damping are well-known typical viscous damping, but since it depends on the frequency, it becomes a problem when the damping coefficient is to be kept constant over a wide period band. As a countermeasure, mode damping is sometimes used, but it is a problem that it lacks practicality in large-scale analysis because the computer load is generally large. In this study, we focus on the capped damping model that gives an upper limit to the damping force of the initial stiffness proportional damping, which is expected to have a certain degree of frequency insensitiveness.</p>
