Abstract
<p> Multi-layered precast concrete pavement (MPCP) is a unique pavement structure consisting of a double-layer of RC slabs that are connected with a special pin. Since the concrete slabs is not connected with dowels, the slab is easily replaced. There have been no studies on the mechanical behaviors of two-layer structures such as MPCP. In this study, to establish the structural design method, values of structural parameters of MPCP were obtained from FWD test conducted on a MPCP. Also, another MPCP was subjected to moving heavy wheel loads and its behavior was observed. It was found that a gap between two slabs should be taken care of.</p>
