抄録

The aim of this research was to identify the factors to contribute to the acquisition of global competence by the implementation of IB program in Grade 6. First, the commonalities between the global competence defined by the OECD and the objectives of the IB curriculum were extracted and discussed. Second, a lesson plan related to the extracted commonalities were developed and implemented. Third, the development of children's global competence was analysed. As a result, the following two points were found out. First, there are similarities between OECD global competence and the objectives of the IB program. Therefore, the implementation of IB program can foster the OECD global competence. Second, it is important to make a matter of personal concern in acquiring global competence. Furthermore, it was implied that the authentic information and examples facilitated it.
