Abstract

<p>This study investigates problem-solving by children in artistic play activities by observing children as they engage in artistic play in early childhood. For that reason, in this study, the children’s artistic play activities behavior was recorded using a video camera. Moreover, the relationship between the child’s performance of the act and the adult’s educational support and care analyze. The conclusions drawn from this study of children’s artistic play activities are as follows. In artistic play, children play with materials, tools, toys, adults, and friends. They engage in conversations with others and internal conversations, discover subjects, and conduct problem-solving. In the process of problem-solving, coupled with educational support and care delivered by adults, children undergo self-development and semantic generation, thereby forming social groups where they can coexist with others.</p>
