Abstract

Soccer goalkeepers are expected to play to stop the penalty kicks, however, the goalkeepers do not have enough time to determine in which direction the kicker should kick. In this research, we propose a system to statistically analyze the characteristics of shoot movements for each kicker and presents hints to goalkeepers. As experimental results, for some kickers, the direction of the axle foot and the swing angle of the dominant foot were found to be positively correlated with the direction of the shot.
