Abstract

<p>In Kyoto City, many kinds of animals appear, but sometimes they cause harm to people lives. Particularly raccoons and maked palm civets break cultural treasures, so Kyoto City and Kansai Wildlife Research Association run a catch plan. In this study, we research causes of raccoons and masked palm civets appearance by land uses, and we calculate their probability of presence in Kyoto City. In the result, farmland and grassland or water area ratio cause raccoon appearances, but masked palm civets ones have no common factor. Also, nearby such large green or water areas, the probability of presence value becomes high.</p>
