[SUMMARY] There are various methods and forms of address in Japanese and Arabic, and both languages have almost the same methods of address. In addition to nouns (pronouns, names, names of kinship, honorifics, job titles, etc.), there is also a verb form of the method of address. Also, there are ways of addressing people without using descriptive words in both languages, and in the case of Japanese in particular, communication without using descriptive words is more effective than addressing with descriptive words. can be natural in communication. Arabic does not have honorifics as a grammatical category, unlike languages such as Japanese, which have highly developed functions of honorifics. It can be said that there is a big difference in usage. On the other hand, unlike literary Arabic, Egyptian Arabic has a variety of honorific expressions. Regarding the concept of honorifics in Egyptian and Arab culture, rather than the concept of elevating the other person and lowering oneself, it is a way of expressing respect for the other person, consideration for the other person, and honorific expressions that are conscious of one's position in society will be used. In addition, while honorific expressions have not developed in Arabic, there are two ways to express consideration and respect for superiors and elders: "Contextual Politeness" and "conveying respect through non-verbal behavior". In addition, there are concepts such as "humility", and even when honorific expressions are not used, evaluation and admiration of the other party are conveyed as respect to the other party in various forms.
