Walking is the most popular physical activity through life instead of sports, for middle-aged and elderly persons since about two decatds ago. Actually, walking is often carried out on the hard surface road. The other, a sawdust road which would become a buffer against the body was experimentally constructed in this study. The purpose of this paper was to measure blood pressure and heart rate during walking exercises, to check salivary amirase, perceptional scale of RPE as a parameter for stress, and to clarify the differences between those on the sawdust and the concrete surface road. Subjects were eight male students whose age were 20~21yrs, During walking exercises, Systolic blood pressure(SBP) and heart rate(HR) increased, diastolic blood pressure(DBP) decreased, but there was no statistical difference about those parameters between both experimental roads. Amirase concentration wasn't recognised remarkable change. As a result, it was not suggested that the surface of the road influenced on the circulation fuction in this trial. However, any results might be observed in knee's or ankle's parameters such as anatomic parts.
