Description
With the development of the "Oxygen Steel Making Process", the demand of industrial oxygen increased very rapidly. To improve the usual oxygen making process which needs a plant of complicate one, on account of the necessity of an air-liquidifying process, we are studying and researching about the direct sparation process of N₂ and CO₂ by the difference of their molecular weights, using a centrifugal separator. In this report, we have investigated the tendency of separation about N₂ and CO₂ system as a model gas, because the difference in their molecular weights is somewhat larger and our centrifugal separator used has only 68 m/sec peripheral speed in practice!.
