Abstract

We continue to use J Blue Concrete, which uses a large amount of by-products as a substitute for concrete, for wavedissipating blocks. J-Blue Concrete has a large unit volume mass, so its stability is improved compared to ready-mixed concrete, and its algae adhesion performance is comparable to that of steel slag hydrated solids, which have many achievements as a seaweed bed construction material. In addition, we applied for J-Blue Credits by focusing on the CO2 absorbed by the algae adhering to the wave-dissipating blocks, and obtained the first J-Blue Credit certification in Japan for a private facility.
