<p>Energy use of woody biomass such as forest residues can contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society, the revitalization of forestry and local economy. On the other hand, Hexavalent chromium may be detected in the combustion ash of a woody biomass boiler. As a result of study on reduction treatment of hexavalent chromium in woody biomass boiler combustion ash, it was confirmed that the elution amount of hexavalent chromium can be reduced easily and safely by using fructose.</p>
