Abstract
<p> In this study, to acquire and utilize wave data at all points, the accuracy of the Sentinel-6 satellite wave data was verified, and the validity of the satellite data and specific utilization methods were examined. The Sentinel-6 wave height data tended to be larger than the actual values (NOWPHAS wave heights). Therefore, we also derived a correction formula for the Sentinel-6 observations. As a result, it was found that the accuracy was improved by applying the correction formula. The wave energy around Japan was calculated and mapped, and it was found that the difference in wave energy from point to point was small on the Sea of Japan side.</p>
