Abstract

Akutagawa Ryunosuke went to China in March 1921 as a journalist of Osaka Mainichi Shinbun. He stayed in China for about 120 days and looked around Shanghai, Nanjing, Changsha, Beijing and other cities. After going back to Japan, he wrote some travel essays and published a book named ʻShina Yuukiʼ in 1925. He met some Chinese intellectuals like Zhang Taiyan, Zheng Xiaoxu, Li Renjie, Gu Hongming. Among them, only Li Renjie was not famous. Any Researcher didnʼt know who he is. Recently, we got to know he was Li Hanjun a founding member of Chinese Communist Party and his house ,where Akutagawa and Li Rejie met each other in Shanghai, is the place of the first meeting of CCP in Luly 1921. A journalist of Osaka Mainichi Shinun named Murata Shiro took Akutagawa to Li Renjieʼs house. In this paper, I will focus on Murata Shiro and research about the reason why Murata introduced Li Renjie to Akutagawa.
