Abstract
<p>In Japan,technical standard regarding termination of landfills are defined as”standards that can be referred to in order to see whether the landfills are in such a state as has no risk of causing any problem in terms of the living environment conservation as they are without maintenance,supposing that there are no damage to the liner systems or disturbance of the landfill waste caused by excavation work,etc.”. One of these criteria is leachate qualities.This paper presents the results of a study of leachate quality in landfills in Japan.</p>
