Abstract

<p>This paper reports on the actual activity process and analysis results of the action research for social innovation conducted in Susami Town, Wakayama Prefecture. I focused on the process of transforming the "unknown elements" obtained from the problem statement set by self-reflection and from research in the field into a vision of social innovation. The results confirmed the importance of trying first before finalizing the overall framework for action research. In many cases, accidental events or encounters with people triggered the next action to be modified.</p>
