Abstract

<p>We are trying to introduce renewable hydrogen into steam gasification of woody biomass in order to reduce CO2 emission from Biomass-to-Liquids (BTL) process. In the study, the effect of the addition of hydrogen to the steam gasification of woody biomass on the product gas composition was investigated using a fixed-bed continuous wood-supplying reactor. As a result, the introduction of hydrogen into the gasification at 900°C inhibited CO2 production, while also inhibiting the conversion of carbon in woody biomass to product gas.</p>
