Abstract

A 15-year-old man presented to the fever clinic on foot with a two-week fever and a headache during the COVID-19 pandemic. He tested positive for COVID-19 and his C-reactive peptide was elevated at 15.45 mg/dL. Although neurological examination was normal, CT and MRI showed a 34 mm right frontoparietal epidural abscess and an ischemia of corpus callosum. He was treated with intravenous antibiotics and evacuation of the subdural abscess. Postoperative course is uneventful. This case reminds us not to hesitate investigations for the patients who present to a fever clinic on foot.
