<p>In recent years, the spread of ultra-compact electric vehicles is progressing rapidly. However, interior noise such as road noise and wind noise from the outside is a serious problem for ride comfort. Therefore, we have proposed an active noise control system for ultra-compact electric vehicles using boundary vibration by giant magnetostrictive actuators. In this paper, we carried out a basic consideration of the vibration characteristics of the flat part of the wall surface in the vehicle. In the experiment, we conducted the acoustic wave output characteristics and the value of noise reduction in the vehicle depending on the excitation position of the giant magnetostrictive actuator. As a result, it was confirmed that installing the actuator at a vibration point can produce a high noise reduction effect.</p>
