Description

In this paper, we propose a respiratory exercise training system using real-time respiratory depth feedback and respiratory rhythm teaching stimuli based on multimodal periodic signals for the purpose of respiratory stabilization in cancer patients undergoing heavy particle radiotherapy. In addition, by developing a measurement device that is easy for subjects to use, we will realize a simple respiratory guidance system suitable for daily operation. In the respiratory motion training experiment, it was confirmed that the proposed training system stabilized the respiratory frequency, stabilized the respiratory depth, and increased the rest period. These results suggest that the treatment time can be shortened, and the patient’s burden can be reduced. In addition, it is suggested that the addition of somatosensory stimulation may improve the comprehension of the taught rhythm.
