Description

Recently, the tasks of dietitians for lunch management require IT skills. In addition, the MEXT has established the “Mathematics, Data Science, and AI Education Program Certification System'' and is preparing for the introduction of this system. However, students often show that they are not good at creating menus or operating PCs. Therefore, a case study was conducted on the process of improving the education program by introducing IT in a dietitian training course of a junior college. A nutrition calculation software that can be easily used by students was developed on Excel and introduced. It was verified whether the students became interested in creating menus, became fond of computer operation in connection with mathematics and data science education.
