Description
<p> We introduce two representations for signal periodicity based on Fourier transform using sidelobe-less windowing functions. The first uses instantaneous frequency. We use a weighted average of the Fourier transform using constant shape weighing on the logarithmic frequency axis. It provides a mechanism for minimizing variations of the fundamental component. The second one uses multi-resolution representation on the frequency axis and represents the repetition interval. We found that sidelobe was harmful in periodicity analyses.</p>
