[Abstract] In this paper, I try to respond to objections from intellectualism about knowing-how. I define the attribution condition for knowing-how that has been adopted by traditional anti-intellectualists as AI. AI means that a certain knowing-how is attributed to an agent when that agent has the ability to actually perform the corresponding action. However, intellectualism is opposed to AI. Therefore, I will revise AI in order to answer the objections from intellectualism. In revising AI, I focus on the concept of disposition itself. In particular, I will refer to the concept of a masker, which is an impediment to a certain disposition. Based on masker’s theory, AI would be rewritten as AI*. AI* is based on the view that a certain knowing-how can be attributed to an agent even if that agent has not the ability to actually perform the corresponding action. Based on AI*, anti-intellectualism can answer to the objection from intellectualism.
