Abstract

This paper examines the multidimensional “connection” that arise through subcultures.Recent studies on subcultures often assume the concept of “window”. This study discusses the state of the “inner world” in the “window” concept, focusing on the concept of “nama”. In contrast to the “chrysalis model” of the traditional “window” theory, a model that assumes the structure of the “adult insect” is considered to be useful for understanding the client in modern times. “Nama” is useful as a concept that connects these two models. Furthermore, it was suggested that it is necessary for therapists to change the way they relate to clients according to the model.
