抄録
The Houmen-Iin system originated with the establishment of the Saisei-Komon in Okayama Prefecture in 1917. The system involved the governor commissioning citizens to actively engage in assisting the poor and combating poverty through dedicated poverty surveys. This paper summarizes the origins and initiatives of the Houmen-Iin system in Miyazaki Prefecture.
