Abstract

Rural environment has been supported by regional community's activity such as cooperative weeds-mowing on a ridge, a canal and a farm road. However, recently depopulation away from the countryside, aging society and rurbanization have been progressing. Therefore, it is one of the problems that how rural environment should be maintain continuously on that situation. Then, only a few studies have been devoted to understanding the actual status of cooperative weeds-mowing, which has been conducted for many years as a regional activity. When cooperative weeds-mowing with dozens of people working with no apparent order was observed in the field, it was difficult to quantitatively understand who was mowing where and how much they were mowing, because some people were working behind the weeds. The purpose of this study is to develop the observation system which analize the work situation taken by the stationary digital video camera in the sky air, and confirm that the system plays a part in effective means to quantitatively find out the situation of outdoor cooperative activities such as the working area, working hours and effective field capacity.
