Abstract

<p>While previous studies have examined the usefulness of middle management’s leadership and vision, research on the mechanism of shaping the vision necessary for change and penetrating it into people by middle management has not been sufficient. This study aims to identify how middle management shapes and penetrates a leader’s vision into people. Research interviews were conducted with 10 businesspeople working at large companies. The result of analyzing collected data from interviews clarifies the following three elements: 1) the vision is shaped through the breaking free of bias through physical actions; 2) the vision is required to be not only abstract but also concrete such ideas; and 3) vision is penetrated while disrupting the biases of others by both verbal and tangible stimulation.</p>
