The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in match results before and after the boxing glove change and before and after new coronavirus infection in the National High School Boxing Competition. Study 1: The results of matches in 2022 (before the glove change) and 2023 (after the glove change) were examined. The results of all inter-high school matches were calculated from the Japan Boxing Federation website and examined using the chi-square test. The results showed that there was no statistically significant difference in match results (p=0.41). Study 2: The Kruskal-Wallis test was used to examine the match results for a total of four years, from 2019 before the new corona and from 2021 to 2023 after the new corona. The results showed that there was no statistically significant difference in match results (p=0.31). The results of this study showed no differences in the match results of the National High School Boxing Competition before and after the boxing glove change and new coronavirus infection.
