Abstract

<p>This study was aimed to evaluate the usefulness of the current guidelines and to improve the way to control urban greening, by clarifying the reality of both plans and actual conditions of greenery on private lands. In the study, usefulness of urban greenery was analyzed by observing urban greenery, clustering its characters, and by developing 3D models of urban areas to determine the effect on thermal comfort and the ratio of visible green. The results indicated that the current guidelines would form urban greenery that are aimed to meet the quantitative standards, not to improve the conditions of landscape and thermal comfort in urban areas.</p>
