<p>This paper focuses on the economic conditions of U.S. Rust Belt, which is known backgrounds of the birth of the Trump administration. We focus on the advanced industrial structure, job polarization, and the changing situations of manufacturing workers in the process. This paper uses the U.S. government economic statistics, federal government hearing records, state governments reports, and research institutes reports, and authors interviews conducted in the Rust Belt such as Michigan. They show the difficulties of workers and the limits of state industrial policy in the process of advanced industrial structure and job polarization.</p>
