Description

One of the causes of the decrease in Tsushima leopard cats is an infectious disease caused by stray cats, and Tsushima City is promoting efforts to properly keep cats. This study conducted a questionnaire survey in Tsushima city, and examined the problems in understanding the current consciousness about proper keeping of cats. The awareness of the “cat proper keeping ordinance” may not be high, so it is necessary to devise public relations in the future. Next, there were many opinions that supported the current sterilization project as a measure for future stray cats. However, as a reason why countermeasures are necessary, many are chosen to "protect the living environment" and "because the number of stray cats does not increase too much", and it is necessary to emphasize the original purpose of "protecting Tsushima leopard cats from infectious diseases".
