Abstract

<p>In this study, we studied the load dependence of mean lateral force of multi-layered C60 bearing system by molecular mechanics simulation. As a result, multi-layered system showed the linear load dependence although single-layered system showed nonlinear one at higher loading region. This result can be ascribed to the deformation of the inner-graphene sheet, which disturbs C60/graphene sliding and accelerates graphene/graphene sliding.</p>
