<p> In natural rivers such as the Ukawaya River, free-meandering is one of the general channel formation. A lot of research has been done on the free-meandering phenomenon of rivers, but most of them are calculations under the condition of assuming a small scale river. There is no research that numerically analyzes free meandering for large scale rivers ranging from 500m to 1000m. The objective of this study is to understand the characteristics of morphodynamis of free-meandering by means of nuemerical simulation. The result showed that model reproduced well the planform of channel deformation. The timing of channel meander occurred during the discharge recession stage.</p>
