Abstract

<p>We tend to have difficulty finding child abuse and poverty, which threaten children’s lives. These issues can cause mental symptoms, violence, and absenteeism. The risk of these problems can increase under the outbreak of COVID-19. Since 2018, we have developed Yamano Osaka-Screening Sheet (YOSS), which enables early detection of the risk and prevent the aggravation of the problems by visualizing the actual situation of the support for children. The number of school truants has reduced to one third in a school with the system. We have promoted its use in primary and junior high schools with the help of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Japan (MEXT) from 2019. We seek to integrate this tool with artificial intelligence in the future. This article summarizes the contents of the system and makes a tentative analysis with the data of 2019.</p>
