Abstract

In this study, "meta-thinking in interview" was defined as the words informants didn't open their "unuttered words", even though they realized it in the survey interviews. Through the questionnaire for undergraduate, "Meta-thinking in Interview Scale" were constructed by eight factors. The eight factors were named <evaluation anxiety>, <will of communication>, <emotional expectation> <story planning>, <difficulty in verbalization>, <incommensurability>, <social significance> and <proper situation>. The scale was statistically verified with the scale's test-retest reliability and concurrent validity. It was confirmed that most of factors of "Meta-Thinking in Interview Scale" was affected by "self-consciousness", however, "self-consciousness" scarcely related to <emotional expectation> and <social significance> To examine the possibility how the informant's motivation effect on the contents of law interviews, this study analyzed the relationship between "Meta-thinking in Interview Scale" and "Questionnaire on Motivation for Interview". The result showed that informants who accept a proposal of interview without any benefit tended to have <emotional expectation>.
