Abstract

In Nagoya city science museum, not only usual planetarium shows but also special planetarium shows are performed. One of the special planetarium shows, we produced and held planetarium concerts in collaboration with curators and nationwide composers. Many planetarium in Japan held planetarium concerts. But the greater part of them are common CD concerts or concerts for amateur composers. So they are unlike artistic events. Under the starry sky of the planetarium, that is unique virtual nigth environment, collaboration of planetarium specialists and music specialists is necessary to create high quality artistic concerts. We think that the harmony of the art and the science is an important style of education in the planetarium. Because the planetarium is unique and valid environment from a viewpoint of the science and the art. In this paper, we discuss the concepts, meaning, and method of network collaborations in the two concerts, "Otsukimi no yoru"2001," meigetsu orai "2002 (Internarional Symposium on Electronic Art).
