Abstract

The study considered a training program for newly hired community social workers at the Social Welfare Council, examining the formation of foundational practical skills through discussions with new community social workers about the program's content, and evaluating the program through its trial implementation. Although the evaluation was limited to a specific Social Welfare Council that introduced the trial use of the program, and detailed feedback on the content was not obtained, the findings suggest that the program's utilization contributed to reducing anxiety related to job tasks. It also indicated an opportunity for community social workers to objectively perceive their duties and roles. This research suggests the need to position it as one cycle of efforts to acquire practical skills for new community social workers and to continually support them in their roles.
