<p>　A 63-year-old woman with a primary cardiac intimal sarcoma underwent tumor debulking and bioprosthetic valve replacement at the Department of Cardiology of our hospital in November 2020, followed by radiotherapy as additional treatment.<br>　In September 2021, she was referred to our department for investigation and treatment of a radiolucency in the left mandibular third molar crown that had been identified at a local dental clinic. After further investigation, the left mandibular second and third molars were extracted and a tumor was removed from the mandible, which was diagnosed histopathologically as odontogenic myxoma. Five months postoperatively, a tumorous lesion was identified in the left buccal region, and although it was diagnosed as recurrent odontogenic myxoma when biopsied, retesting yielded a histopathological diagnosis of distant metastasis to the mandible of the intimal sarcoma that had originally arisen in the left atrium. A joint conference with the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery was held to discuss the treatment strategy, and in April 2022 a mandibular tumorectomy was conducted with a view to secondary treatment. However, the patient died from recurrence of the primary tumor one year and two months after this operation.</p>
