抄録

今後、ネット世代と称される図書館利用者が増加する。彼らは、インターネット接続可能な携帯電話などの情報端末を用いて、必要なときに必要な情報を入手したり、友人などと連絡をとることを当然のことと考えている。そのような人達が構成するネット社会において図書館はどのような役割を果たすべきであろうか?本稿では、利用者が必要とするときにいつでもどこからでもサービスを提供できる図書館とはどのようなものかを考察する。また、多くの携帯で読み取ることのできる2次元コードを利用した蔵書管理およびそれを利用したサービスを提案することにより、ネット世代向けに有効であろう図書館サービスについても考察する。

The number of library patrons who are called "Net Generation" is increasing. They think it is natural to access to the necessary information whenever they need. They always carry PDAs and/or cell phones that are able to connect to the Internet. What role should libraries play in such a network society which consists of such people? This paper discusses what libraries should be like in order to provide services for these people who would ask for help to the libraries whenever they need help. It also proposes and discusses new library services for such people of net-generation by using 2-dimentional code that can be read by most cell phones.
