Description
This paper deals with a scheduling method for manual work in consideration of learning by On-the-Job training (OJT). As of skillful work such as maintenance work of trains and airplanes, workers have to learn many kinds of work with the OJT. Although processing time in OJT becomes longer than the standard time, the training is important to keep skill level and long-term work efficiency of the organization. In order to consider the processing time in OJT, the scheduler must incorporate a management function of worker properties because the processing time in OJT changes every time the worker executes a job. Therefore, the worker model that represents worker property is used for the scheduling. In this paper, after the problem of scheduling in consideration of OJT is defined, a scheduling method that adopts the worker model and an agent-based mechanism is proposed.
