The porpose of this study is examination about promoting disaster prevention planning in Yokohama. The method of this study is questionnaire survey for community resident to make clear living environments and awareness for disaster. The result of this study is 1) Community residents have a high awareness against disaster, but ratio to practice their disaster measures is low, 2) Community residents are satisfied about living envorinments except town view, 3) It make clear a peculiar problem about movements in an urban area on sloping ground
