Description
It is common that the most important color in color reproduction is the flesh color. Therefore, the character and reproduction of flesh color have been studied frequently. But the cross-cultural aspect of reproduction of flesh color has been rarely referred to. I have studied the preference of the Japanese and foreigner on the reproduction of flesh color using portraits of caucasian female. As a result, it is found that the Japanese prefer more reddish flesh color than foreigners of six different countries. This result corresponds to the uncross-cultural study of preferred flesh color.
