Description
We calculate the specific angular momentum loss from a detached binary system due to stellar wind. We perform three-dimensional hydrodynamic simulations of stellar wind ejected from one component of the system. The equation of state considered here is that of an ideal gas characterized by the specific heat ratio, γ, which is set to be 5/3. Three different cases of mass ratios of the binary system, q=3, 1 and 1/3, are considered. We present flow patterns for typical cases and plots of the specific angular momentum loss as a function of wind velocity measured on the critical Roche surface.
