Abstract

The patient was a girl, aged 2 years and five months, who presented with chief complaints of abdominal pain and erythrocyturia. The ultrasonography and chest and abdominal CT showed left renal tumor, lung metastasis, and tumor thrombus extending into the right atrium from a left renal tumor. We diagnosed it as stage IV Wilms Tumor based on the left renal tumor biopsy. After we performed chemotherapy, with three courses of 91A1, the tumor thrombus was reduced with a residual mass of only about 1cm in diameter. After left nephrectomy, we added three courses of 91A1 chemotherapy. Radiotherapy was not performed. We have followed the residual tumor thrombus and tumor size has not changed for three years.
