Consumers are having strong interest in energy saving and resources conservation of products. We developed a new-type DC 2-cylinder rotary compressor in consideration of this situation. A small and lightweight concentrated winding DC motor with high efficiency is installed to it. As a result, the volume and weight of the compressor are about 15% reduced in comparison with conventional one. Furthermore, 6% or more of total efficiency improved. In this paper, we present development of new-type DC 2-cylinder rotary compressor which contributes to energy saving and resources conservation,
