Abstract
The aim of this work presented here is to evaluate a degradation level for carbon steel (SS400) using fuzzy inference under magnetic measurement. First, characteristic curves for barkhausen noise (BHN) and coercive force of test specimens are measured. Secondly fuzzy rules for evaluating degradation level are constructed using trend of BHN and coercive force. Experimental results are summarized in order to show feasibility of the proposed method.
