Aggressive angiomyxoma is a rare mesenchymal tumor that arises in the pelvis and vulva. Although it is a benign tumor with no metastasis, it has a high risk of local recurrence because of its infiltrative growth. On the other hand, angiomyofibroblastoma was previously confused with aggressive angiomyxoma because they are much alike in clinical and histologic features. But the latter exhibits no recurrence because of its well circumscribed margin. And this is important in determining the treatment plan. We present case reports of both types of tumors and describe their similarities and differences.
